Exploring Our Emotional Etchings (8 week, online course)

We are all shaped by lifetime experiences, which sometimes etch lasting impressions into our bodily tissues and unconscious minds. These etchings may shape our behaviors, beliefs, and senses of self. This eight-week, virtual yoga class will use movement, breath, and sound in combination with group and creative processes. As we learn to explore with curiosity and gradually let go of patterns that inhibit self care and growth, we make space to embrace our present-moment selves and create new possibilities in our ever-evolving lives.

Offering this class online is a conscious decision based on past experience. Participants have appreciated the privacy of working in their own homes and have described this class as "inviting, inclusive and non-judging; an experience of holism-body, mind and heart all engaged, all supporting the other modalities of being in the world; increasing awareness of bodily connections and emotional responses; a reminder of the need for creativity; taking time for self was such a treat!"

Video recordings of the instructor with limited audio recording of participants will be available for six days after each class. Live participation is strongly encouraged for the benefit of each participant as well as the group.
