What if my schedule changes?
You will receive an emailed Appointment Reminder approximately 24 hours before each class. This will provide the Zoom link and will include options to Change/Cancel Appointment and add the appointment to your personal calendar.
What if I don't want to pay online?
Contact the instructor for a mailing address, and you can pay by check or money order. You will then also be asked to complete the waiver online or sign a paper liability waiver.
What if I sign up for a package and then need to miss some classes?
Live Now Yoga understands that life is full! Let’s say you just purchased a package of 10 classes and then decided to schedule a three week vacation. No problem! You may space your classes in any way that works for you. Once you pay for classes, those classes will never expire.
Can my partner and I sign up for classes together?
Yes! When you “Book Classes” you will see a black bar in the upper left corner with the words “Redeem coupon or package.” Once you are signed up, begin a second registration for your partner and enter 20%OFFPARTNER in that black bar space. The discount will show up on the Payment page.
What if I’ve never done yoga before?
Wonderful!! It’s a joy to introduce yoga to those who have never tried it before. You can contact me with any specific concerns. You are also encouraged to read the tips offered in Cathy’s Welcome Message.
What if I would like to try yoga but am not ready to make a financial commitment?
You are welcome to try one class for free! When you “Book Classes” just sign up for a single class and type FIRSTFREE in the black bar that says “Redeem coupon or package.” Proceed to the Payment page, where the discount will be applied.
Is it okay to do yoga if I have a medical condition?
If you are uncertain about your medical situation, please consult your physician. It would also be helpful to contact me and let me know about your medical condition. There might be some adaptations or suggestions that could be offered to you. For instance, if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis, you could be advised against rolling up to a standing position or down from a Bridge Pose by moving one vertebra at a time. If you have stiff hips, you could be advised to sit up on a folded blanket or block for seated poses.
What if I’m not very flexible?
Yoga is a practice that can build strength, balance and flexibility. If you practice consistently, you are likely to see gradual changes in all of these areas. You will be encouraged to listen to your body and to use your exhales to soften more deeply into poses.
Online yoga sounds convenient, but what if I don’t want anyone to watch me doing yoga?
The virtual world does give you some options! I encourage everyone to “show up” on the screen at the beginning and end of class. Even though we are online, there is a sense of community and belonging that happens with an ongoing yoga class, and each participant is an integral part of that community. Once the class begins, you have the option of keeping your video on or turning it off.
